Jarrodean Healthcare Recruitment invites applications from dedicated Staff Nurses with UK post-registration experience in Surgical Ward, Day Surgery, Endoscopy or Theatres to join our client’s busy Day Procedure Ward team at the major Health facility on Guernsey in the Channel Islands. The unit comprises a 19-bed ward, minor operation/procedure room, post-anaesthetic recovery, and Endoscopy Suite.

Guernsey salary band 5 ranges £40,178–£51,819 plus a £1,747 annual bonus and enhanced unsocial

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with full NMC registration.
• Recent UK post-registration experience in at least one of Surgical Ward, Day Surgery, Endoscopy or Theatres.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on Day Procedure Ward and assist in pre-assessment.
• Work within Endoscopy Suite and minor ops/recovery as needed.
• Contribute to a multi-disciplinary team in a busy hospital setting.

Job description

Applications are invited fromdedicated and enthusiastic Staff Nurses with a background in Surgical Ward, Day Surgery, Endoscopy or Theatresto join our client's busy Day Procedure Ward team at the major Health facility on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.

The Unit comprises; a 19 bedded ward area with additional seated waiting areas for ambulatory patients, a minor operation/procedure room with a two-bedded post anaesthetic recovery unit and an Endoscopy Suite.

Service users attend the unit for a variety of surgical, endoscopy, dental, interventional radiological and other diagnostic procedures.

Relying on the multi-skilled nature of the team, any previous experience in Endoscopy, Minor Ops scrub or Recoverywould be an advantage.However, this role also offers opportunity to gain knowledge and skills.

Pre Assessment also forms part of the Ward responsibilities.

Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.

The current Band 5 salary range is £40,178 to £51,819 plus an annual bonus of £1,747 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.

Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.
