Job Overview

Band 5 Staff Nurse – Adult Day Surgery Unit (ADSU)

This is a part‑time post for 27.75 hours per week, with shifts from Monday to Saturday. The Adult Day Surgery Unit comprises 34 day‑case beds and provides care for patients undergoing procedures in a variety of surgical specialties, including urology, plastics, orthopaedics, general surgery, maxillofacial, ENT and trauma.

Main Duties of the Job

We open Monday to Saturday and strive to deliver a positive patient experience. You will have flexible working through a self‑rostering system and opportunities to develop professionally and personally, including local training and external professional courses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking and recording comprehensive nursing assessment and planning.
