What you will be doing:

As a qualified Nurse (RMN, RNLD, RGN), you will ensure people with continuing challenging behaviour receive high-quality care, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting positive teamwork. The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, and a good amount of routine and variety.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Providing high-quality, effective and compassionate nursing care to service users
• Being responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care
• Providing mentorship and support to team members
• Observing, recording and reporting all service user changes, and maintaining accurate records of care provided

Skills and knowledge you will have:

• A relevant nursing qualification
• NMC registration
• Strong team-working skills
• A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach

Where you will be working:

Location: Furness Road, Workington, Cumbria, United Kingdom, CA14 3PD Gregory House provides a specialist provision with enhanced levels of support which allows people with continuing challenging behaviour and high support needs to be cared for in the least restrictive setting possible, but within a service which is robust and structured enough to meet their ongoing needs and risks. The service ensures people lead good and meaningful everyday lives, where they have choice and control, accessing mainstream services and facilities, engaging in work and training, in leisure opportunities, hobbies and areas of personal interest. Gregory House encourages people to be as independent as possible with the long-term aim of people moving onto a more independent living setting.
