The Emergency Surgical Unit and Same Day Assessment Area are looking for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join their team!

You will be working across both areas delivering high quality care to surgical patients from across Cornwall. This is a fast paced working environment where you will have the opportunity to learn lots along the way.

At Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, we deliver services across three sites: Truro, Penzance and Hayle. We also work closely with the local Community Foundation Trust, who have sites all across Cornwall.

This job will include working; long days, 10:00-22:30 shifts, night shifts and weekend work

Qualifications
  • Level 1 Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration / students pending registration
Experience
  • A minimum of six months experience in an acute Trust within the last twelve months (this can include student placement)
Knowledge
  • Understanding of evidence based practice to enhance care
  • Understanding of professional and current issues in nursing.
  • Understanding of the importance of research and evidence based practice
