Job summary

Priory seeks a Registered Nurse to join our Banks, Southport team for predominantly night shifts (8pm–8am) with some day shifts possible. You will provide personalised nursing care, working with a compassionate team to support wellbeing and recovery.

The role involves delivering prescribed care, assessing patients with carers, and maintaining responsive care plans, while adhering to NMC guidelines and committing to ongoing professional development within a Mental Health/Learning Disabilities

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC registration and post-registration preceptorship.
• Minimum six months' experience in Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care.
• Sound knowledge of NMC guidelines, standards and professional practices; commitment to ongoing development.
• Flexible/change-oriented mindset with ability to adopt innovative approaches to practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework, assessing and planning with patients and carers.
• Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess need and evaluate progress.
• Monitor and review Nursing Care plans and progress.
• Support patients with epilepsy, communication difficulties, swallowing difficulties, and potential respiratory support needs.

Cleveland House has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team. This role will be predominantly night shifts between 8pm and 8am, however there may be occasion where day shifts are needed., You will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

• Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework. Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
• Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess need and evaluate progress.
• Monitor and review Nursing Care plans. Cleveland House is located in Banks, Southport, in the west of Lancashire. It offers residential support for 32 males and females with an acquired brain injury (ABI), progressive neurological condition (PNC) and associated physical health needs. We are located on a residential housing estate.
• We can also support those who have:
  • Conditions such as epilepsy
  • Difficulties with communication
  • Difficulties with swallowing
  • May need respiratory support through a ventilator and/or tracheostomy
• Qualified Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN or RNLD) with post-registration experience, holding an active NMC registration and having successfully completed a preceptorship programme.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of NMC guidelines, standards, and professional practices, along with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Possess a positive attitude towards change, quality improvement, and service development, and is capable of adopting flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills complemented by a minimum of six months' experience within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment, supported by evidence of continued professional development in the relevant field.
