Job description

Shift Pattern

Our standard shift pattern is 12‑hour shifts over 7 days, including public holidays and weekends, with new shift patterns to cover TAU from 08.00 AM – 12.00 AM. We are able to offer flexible shift patterns out with the standard 12‑hour rota. Please contact us to discuss any requirements to provide you with a supportive work‑life balance.

About the Role

TAU consists of a 9‑bedded unit which accepts trauma patients from ED, GP referrals and wider trauma network including inter‑hospital transfers. You will be responsible for the general assessment of patients and work closely with Trauma Liaison and our orthopaedic Flow Co‑ordinator. Training will be provided to develop casting skills and specialist splints applications for a wide range of trauma and orthopaedic conditions. We are increasing opening times of RAH TAU from 08.00 AM – 12.00 AM; these posts will staff the department over these new times. You will have the opportunity to work with innovative team members within multidisciplinary environments, working collaboratively across the unit. You will be supported, encouraged and appreciated within your role. There will be opportunities for enhancing your skills, venepuncture, cannulation through additional training and development which we offer and encourage. This is supported by our Nurse Educator who will support you while you settle into your new environment.

Required Qualifications

It is essential you are a Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration.
