Nursing, therapy and medical staff specialise in supporting patients to achieve their goals, enabling them to return home. Our patients come to us following medical, surgical or orthopaedic treatment in an acute environment, or where appropriate, directly from their own homes.

North Walsham Ward, is a 24 bedded unit based in the market town of North Walsham , with easy access to Norwich City and the North Norfolk coasts. As well as rehabilitation the unit also provides palliative and end of life care when North Walsham ward is the preferred place of care.
Main Responsibilities
Flexible working and working hours
The working day is split in to two 11.5 hour shifts, a night from 19:00 to 07:30 and a day from 07:00 to 19:30. The shifts are rostered on a rotational basis across seven days including bank holidays. We offer the right to request flexible working from your first day of employment including fixed shift patterns and will endeavour to honour any flexible working agreements made with your current employer.
Training opportunities
We welcome staff who are open to learning new skills such as venepuncture, male and female catheterisation, PEG feeding and ECG recording. To assist you in doing this you will receive support and development through in service training, annual appraisals, a personal development plan and regular clinical supervision.
Want to return to the ward environment after working in a different speciality? We can offer you a supported induction to help refresh your skills. We also welcome applications from Newly Qualified Nurses, or those returning to practice following retirement.
