Job description
Position

We are currently looking for a full‑time Mental Health Staff Nurse to join the s3 Eating Disorder team at Addenbrookes Hospital. The role involves carrying out duties to meet the needs of service users within a specialist eating disorder unit (age 18–65) under the supervision of registered professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality, evidence‑based nursing advice, support and care for service users with mental and physical health needs and for their carers.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with local, national policies and CPFT standards.
  • Follow a specific care plan tailored to each service user and work effectively within a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Identify training needs of junior registered and unregistered staff and contribute to their development.
  • Ensure compliance with equality, diversity and rights best practice and legislation.
  • Maintain effective communication pathways and manage shifts in the absence of the Ward Manager or the designated deputy.
Qualifications & Experience

Registered nurse with relevant experience in mental health or specialist eating disorder services. Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and training junior staff is desired. Knowledge of local and national policies and legislation governing nursing practice within CPFT is essential.
