Band 5 Staff Nurse
Gynaecology Ambulatory Centre

30 hours per week | Permanent

Heatherwood Hospital

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Gynaecology Ambulatory Centre at Heatherwood Hospital. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient‑centred care within a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive excellent care throughout their clinic journey, while contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the service.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support and care for patients during their appointments
  • Ensuring clinics are fully prepared and organised to deliver safe and effective care
  • Supporting the senior nursing team with the day‑to‑day coordination and running of clinics
  • Working closely with medical staff to help ensure clinics run efficiently and to time
Additional Responsibilities
  • To provide the nursing care of Gynaecological patients, and work within a team/ward environment.
  • Responsibilities include the identification, planning, implementation and evaluation of all care provided.
  • To work in other areas of Frimley Park Hospital Trust as required by Ward Sister or delegated deputy.
  • Commence effective discharge planning, ensuring appropriate use of hospital resources and improving patient flow.
  • To work with all members of the multi‑disciplinary team to support the patient during their appointment.
  • Ensure clinic is prepared.
  • Work with senior team to manage the day to day running of the clinics.
  • Work with the medical staff to ensure that the clinics run on time.
