Job summary

Cognify Search, incorporated is seeking an experienced ML Technical Lead to shape its centralised ML function in the UK. This senior role blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic product thinking and real-world impact.

You will own the ML roadmap across product teams, mentor engineers, and drive production ML initiatives, including forecasting, optimisation and GenAI. Strong Python, system design and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating at Staff, Principal or Lead ML Engineer level.
• Proven track record delivering ML solutions to production.
• Strong Python and system design skills; knowledge of MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Own the ML technical direction and roadmap across multiple product teams.
• Lead forecasting, optimisation, recommender systems and predictive modelling initiatives.
• Architect scalable, production-ready ML systems and reusable APIs.
• Mentor ML engineers and raise engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate ML opportunities into business value.
