Job summary

Aave Labs is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to shape the full web experience across our financial products. You will translate complex ideas into fast, accessible interfaces and contribute to the design system.

You’ll own high-quality UI, drive performance, and collaborate with design and product teams to deliver reliable, scalable frontends. This role requires autonomy and a strong product sense from concept to delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, CSS and system design.
• Deep experience with frontend performance engineering.
• Experience with Next.js data loading, fetching and streaming.
• Deep experience with component-driven design systems.
• The product sense to work without a detailed brief and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality UI with a strong point of view on feel, function, and performance.
• Own and evolve complex, reusable components within the design system.
• Set the bar for frontend performance including loading, caching, and streaming data.
• Bring product thinking to solutions, balancing user needs and technical constraints.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product leads to clarify problems.
• Raise the bar for the team through quality of work and approach.
