Job summary

Wayve is seeking a founding Staff Cloud Site Reliability Engineer to shape the reliability of large-scale AI systems and GPU compute infrastructure. You will build and scale the reliability foundations of our AI cloud platform, including model development and GPU compute environments.

This is a founding SRE role situated at the intersection of AI research, cloud infrastructure, and operations. You will define frameworks, automate standards, and ensure scalable, secure deployments with a bias

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an SRE, Production Engineer, or Cloud Reliability role.
• Experience operating GPU-backed environments or large-scale ML infrastructure.
• Experience running model training or inference pipelines in production (MLOps).
• Strong Kubernetes experience, including operating production clusters.
• Hands-on experience running production workloads in major cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Deep troubleshooting across networking, storage, distributed systems and scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, availability, and performance of AI cloud platforms.
• Define SLOs/SLIs and error budgets across services.
• Lead incident response, triage, and postmortems.
• Design observability stacks with dashboards for rapid detection and recovery.
• Build automation for cluster operations, training workflows, and scaling.
• Harden CI/CD and release processes for safe, rapid deployments.
