Job summary

Markin is seeking a senior backend architect to drive the technical direction of our ingestion, orchestration, and action-dispatch services in London. You will set the standards for reliability, observability, and cost while guiding a team of senior engineers to raise the technical bar.

You will partner with ML and product teams to ensure the platform remains ahead of demand and scales to enterprise-grade requirements with strict SLAs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Deep experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Track record of shipping to enterprise customers with hard SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture across ingestion, orchestration and action dispatch.
• Set standards for reliability, observability and cost across the platform.
• Coach senior engineers; raise the technical bar of the team.
• Partner with ML and product to keep the platform ahead of demand.
