Job summary

Dex is partnering with a cutting-edge AI biology lab to design, train, and evaluate deep learning models on high-dimensional biological and clinical datasets. You will also build the training infrastructure that enables rapid, ambitious experimentation for a small, intense team based out of the Liverpool Street area in London.

Qualifications

• First-principles ML/DL knowledge and research-grade modeling experience.
• Ability to design experiments and diagnose failures autonomously.
• Experience building scalable training infrastructure.
• Comfort with ambiguity in a small, intense team.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and evaluate deep learning models on proprietary biological and clinical data.
• Build training infrastructure for rapid experimentation within a small, high-ambition team.
• Define evaluation frameworks beyond standard ML metrics for biological predictions.
• Help define the tech stack and research standards for an early-stage AI biology lab.
• Contribute to systems that reason over complex biological data, generate hypotheses, and learn from feedback.
