Job summary

Checkout.com is hiring a Staff Level AI/ML engineer to accelerate our AI era. You will join the Data and AI platform team, pioneering real-world AI/ML solutions, collaborating across teams to turn vision into scalable outcomes.

You’ll design MLOps components, build end-to-end pipelines, and ensure secure, compliant deployments on cloud platforms, with a focus on innovation and impact.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and AI toolkits (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong engineering skills: services, data models, and features.
• Experience applying AI/ML models to real-world problems and prototypes.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and large-scale data processing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to research, scope, and validate AI use cases that drive value.
• Drive AI adoption with rigorous evaluation and scalable deployments.
• Design and build the MLOps component of the platform (vector databases, feature stores, model serving).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and enforce best practices for deployment, security, and compliance.
• Contribute to the AI/ML guild and advocate new approaches and use cases.
• Monitor and optimise system performance for scalability and efficiency.
