You will turn financial data into clear insight, build trusted relationships across the business and help colleagues make timely decisions across ticketing, hospitality, catering and major stadium events. Working in a collaborative hybrid environment with a minimum of three days per week in the office, you will be expected to respond quickly and thoughtfully as business priorities change.

Who We Are

Manchester City is a football club rooted in East Manchester, with a story that began in 1880 and continues to grow today. Built on resilience, belief and togetherness, success on the pitch is driven by the moments and memories shared with millions of Fans around the world. City is known for its bravery, its determination to the very end and its strong connection to where we come from. With Mancunian roots and a global outlook, we are shaped by our Fans and driven by a long-term vision, from developing future talent to supporting the communities we call home. Together, we are creating the next chapter, the City way.

Our Commercial Finance team supports the financial management of matchday and non-matchday revenue across the stadium. Working closely with colleagues in ticketing, hospitality, catering and events, the team provides the insight, challenge and planning needed to help Manchester City make informed commercial decisions and deliver memorable experiences for our Fans and visitors.

The Role

As Stadium Finance Manager, you will own the financial support for your area of Manchester City’s stadium revenue generation. You will be fully responsible for understanding performance, identifying opportunities and helping stakeholders make timely decisions across ticketing, hospitality, catering and non-matchday events, including concerts and future major events such as Euro 2028 activity.

You will lead the co-ordination of budgets and forecasts across matchday areas, oversee P&L management and monitor product performance and margins. Your role will be to make financial information clear and accessible, listen carefully to the needs of colleagues, and provide practical insight that supports action. As the business changes, you will need to react quickly, reassess priorities and help the area respond with pace and good judgement.

The role is also responsible for managing and developing a Finance Analyst. You will build constructive, trusting relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, communicate financial findings with empathy and confidence, and work closely with the Finance Business Partner – Stadium Finance to support the department’s objectives and long-term plans. Your ability to collaborate, influence and create clarity will be as important as your technical finance capability.

  • Relevant finance capability gained through an accounting qualification, relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience applying commercial finance expertise to budgeting, forecasting and P&L management.
  • Data analysis capability, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to turn financial information into useful insight.
  • Clear, thoughtful communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information in an accessible way to different audiences.
  • Collaborative stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust, listen, influence and work effectively across a commercial environment.
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach, with the ownership to manage your area, react quickly to business changes and deliver accurate, high-quality work to agreed deadlines.
