Job summary

Nexus Life Sciences in Deeside is seeking a Research & Development Scientist to own stability programmes and drive development and scale-up of pharmaceutical products. The role blends office and lab work with regulatory documentation responsibility.

You will design and manage stability studies, generate protocols, and support technology transfer, working with external labs and internal teams to ensure timely, compliant data delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in GMP environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
• Hands-on method development/validation using HPLC, LC-MS, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, FTIR.
• Experience with statistical analysis of analytical data.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage stability studies (ICH, stress, transport) and ensure timely reporting.
• Author and maintain specifications for starting materials, packaging and finished products.
• Generate and approve stability protocols, sampling plans, and shelf-life justifications.
• Provide technical support for technology transfer and scale-up.
• Coordinate testing with external laboratories and meet timelines.
• Review analytical data for release and stability compliance.
• Perform trend analysis and statistical evaluation of stability data.
• Lead investigations and quality events including supplier non-conformances.
• Write stability sections for regulatory submissions (CMC).
• Represent the technical team during audits.
• Uphold site quality, health & safety standards.
