Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Bolton is seeking an experienced secretary to join their administration team. This permanent position involves providing general secretarial and administrative support for the management team. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to act under pressure. Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly‑motivated, experienced secretary to join our friendly administration team.

The post holder will provide general secretarial and administration duties for the SSDU/ERU Management Team and support colleagues across the department.

This is a permanent post working 22.5 hours per week, 9:30 am – 2 pm, Monday to Friday.

All candidates must evidence their certificates to the interview panel. The vacancy may close early if a high volume of applications is received.

Responsibilities
  • Handle all incoming mail and take appropriate action where necessary; ensure outgoing mail is dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Type and distribute general correspondence such as letters, memos, reports, e‑mail and faxes as required.
  • Liaise with other agencies and trust staff as and when necessary.
  • Answer telephone queries and provide information for the department.
  • Photocopy as requested/required.
  • Provide secretarial cover to the department as and when necessary.
  • Collate requested information for the SSDU/ERU Management Team.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to evidence relevant certificates at interview.
  • Proven administrative and secretarial experience.
