Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior UI Platform Engineer to design and build the shared quality foundation for our next-generation front end. You will shape how hundreds of UI engineers ship, test, and operate their code across the organization.

As UI Platform owns the paved road for UI engineering, you will consolidate quality, release, observability and developer tooling into a single internal platform, building testing frameworks, pipelines and quality signals used by all UI teams.

Qualifications

• Experience building shared frameworks or platforms used by multiple teams.
• Fluent in TypeScript and modern front-end tooling.
• Experience designing and running CI pipelines (GitLab CI/Jenkins).

Responsibilities

• Lead the shared UI testing framework for all Product Groups.
• Design and run CI pipelines gating UI releases across GitLab CI and Jenkins.
• Ship the UI Quality Score as a public signal for coverage and health.
• Integrate automated dependency management and AI-assisted test authorship into the road.
• Collaborate with UI tooling, release and observability teams to unify the platform.
• Mentor engineers on testing practices and code reviews.
• Build quarantine/triage system for flaky tests to prevent release blockers.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior UI Platform Engineer to lead the design and build of the shared quality foundation for our next-generation front end. It’s a strategic role for someone who wants to shape how hundreds of UI engineers ship, test and operate their code across the organisation.

UI Platform owns the paved road for UI engineering at CrowdStrike. As Product Groups migrate onto the new UI, we’re consolidating quality, release, observability and developer tooling into a single internal platform that teams pick up themselves. This role is central to that mission where you’ll build the testing framework, pipelines and quality signals that every UI team relies on.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the shared UI testing framework that every Product Group uses, from unit and component tests through to end-to-end and visual regression.

• Design and run the CI pipelines that gate every UI release across GitLab CI and Jenkins, keeping them fast, reliable and honest about failures.

• Ship the UI Quality Score as a public signal that brings together coverage, escaped defects, skipped tests, incident data and dependency health.

• Wire automated dependency management, security testing and AI-assisted test authorship into the paved road so upgrades, vulnerability response and quality work don’t fall on individual teams.

• Work with UI Developer Tooling, UI Release and Observability so the platform feels like one thing through a single CLI.

• Pair with Product Group leads to move legacy testing patterns onto the paved road and get the testing strategy adopted across the organisation.

• Mentor engineers on testing practice and quality patterns and give thoughtful code review across the platform and its consumers.

• Build the quarantine and triage system for flaky tests so intermittent failures stop blocking releases and get fixed rather than ignored.

What You’ll Need

• You’ve built shared frameworks, tooling or platforms that other engineers rely on day to day

• You know Playwright well for browser end-to-end testing and you’re comfortable with unit and component testing (Vitest or similar) and visual regression.

• You’re fluent in TypeScript, Vite and modern front-end tooling.

• You’ve designed GitLab CI pipelines that stay fast and reliable and give engineers a clear signal when something breaks.

• You’ve set engineering standards that autonomous teams have genuinely adopted and you can influence senior engineers and leaders when it matters.

• You’ve used AI in earnest to change how engineering work gets done, not as a novelty.

• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

• Automated dependency management (e.g. Renovate) and pulling security testing (SAST, SCA) into developer workflows.

• Contract testing and mocking frameworks for large distributed systems.

• Working with developer experience metrics like DORA or SPACE.

• Running Jenkins alongside modern CI during a platform migration.
