Job summary

Amazon Development Centre (London) Limited in London is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to deliver mission critical programs and to build the infrastructure behind our conversational search experience. You will lead cross-functional initiatives across engineering, product, and operations to ship high impact features for customers.

You will mentor leaders, use data to drive improvements, and partner with senior stakeholders to align releases with business goals, while scaling processes

Amazon Conversational Search is the exciting new LLM-based feature in the Amazon App / Desktop to allow customers to engage with Amazon in natural language conversations. We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to deliver mission critical programs to build the leading edge infrastructure behind this experience as well as build new delightful customer experiences in this space.

A day in the life

Key Responsibilities For The Role Will Include

• Running high visibility programs across multiple teams in Alexa For Shopping org.
• Managing stakeholders across these teams as well as senior leadership of Search and adjacent orgs.
• Mentoring and growing other technical leaders to help them scale and lead mission critical initiatives.
• Using data and key metrics, to drive improvements that enhance our operational effectiveness.

About The Team

We are a part of Alexa For Shopping Agentic Experiences focused on building a LLM-based conversational shopping experience. Our goal is to allow customers to intuitively engage with Amazon in natural language to get the most convenient shopping experience.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• 3+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
