Job summary

Beacon is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in its Professional Services division to oversee value-added services for existing clients, focusing on accounting, compliance, risk, and performance reporting on the Clearwater SaaS platform. The role collaborates with Client Services, Global Delivery, and R&D.

Based in one of our offices, London/Edinburgh, the role demands strong communication and problem-solving, with deep knowledge of investment accounting and data migration processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• 7+ years of relevant experience in a related field
• CFA or CPA is desirable
• Proven experience in Client Servicing and/or Onboarding teams in Clearwater
• Advanced experience with General Ledger systems and period-end close processes
• Advanced knowledge of investment accounting policies and procedures
• Experience in securities or financial markets, especially involving alternative assets
• Knowledge of at least one market or regulatory regime such as NAIC or Local GAAP
• Knowledge of Clearwater platform data migration processes, including inbound/outbound feeds, cost basis file loads, and load parallels
• Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify opportunities for value-added professional services with existing steady-state clients by working closely with Client Services and our leadership teams
• Apply hands-on expertise in our core offering of Accounting, Compliance, Risk, and Performance reports, using a robust repertoire of best-practice solutions
• Lead requirements analysis and solution design, considering both complexity and scale
• Strategize with Client Services, Product Management, and Development teams to enhance the client change management experience
• Optimize delivery timeframes and establish repeatable, scalable processes
• Serve as a trusted client advocate and confident client advisor

Salary: £24,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

Technologies:

We are hiring a Subject Matter Expert within our Professional Services division, which delivers change, transformation, and advisory services to our existing clients on Clearwaters SaaS platform. We work closely with Client Services, Global Delivery, and R&D to identify value-added opportunities, implement client change projects, and improve our product offering and delivery efficiency. Our team works across investment accounting, general ledger, client reporting, and derivatives and alternatives asset classes on a variety of billable client projects. This is a full-time role based in our offices in Edinburgh, Boise, or London.
