Job summary

Addepar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help scale Navigator and related tools, delivering investor-focused features within a complex financial domain.

You will collaborate with product owners and designers to implement end-to-end solutions, utilizing Python, React, and cloud services, while advancing data engineering workflows in Databricks and related platforms.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional software engineering experience building web applications.
• Proficient in Python and understanding of common libraries.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP, REST and web API best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or others).
• Experience with databases and data lakes: SQL, NoSQL, Databricks.
• Experience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML and CSS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

The Role

The Investor Solutions team at Addepar is growing!

Navigator is a quantitative liquidity risk projection tool that is one of the key components of Addepar's multi-product ecosystem. Brought into the Addepar family as part of an acquisition in 2021, Addepar has continued to double down on investing in this critical product, as we've scaled well beyond the multi-million ARR goal first set for this product line.

Addepar is also building new tools to fulfill investors’ needs. From Big Data in Databricks to new web apps and everything in between, you’ll help us build an AI-first platform to empower investors. Moving forward, Navigator and these other tools will be used as the foundation to build key workflows that cater to large institutions, further integrating across the Addepar ecosystem.

As we continue to scale, a need has opened up for a Senior Software Engineer who would bring to bear their unique expertise with the existing Engineering team, with exciting opportunities to extend the scope for this role longer term, as the product continues to push onward into future global expansion mode.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate multi-functionally with product owners, designers, GTM teams, program managers, researchers, and other Engineering team members to deliver for our clients
• Conceive of, develop, and deliver novel solutions within a sophisticated and rich domain area. Learn and develop your career within a particularly challenging and growing part of the financial industry
• Build both within the primary Navigator application and in other parts of Addepar's product ecosystem, bridging shared concerns for our clients across multiple product areas, with an investor-focused viewpoint

Who You Are

• Extensive professional software engineering experience building web applications
• Proficient in Python and understanding of common libraries used by Python
• Proficient in HTTP, REST and web API best practices
• Good experience on AWS or any other cloud platform
• Experience with databases and data lakes: SQL, NoSQL, Databricks
• Experience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS
• Experience with AI agentic coding
• Experience with Java backends is a plus
• A strong ownership mentality and drive to solve the most important problems
• A rapid learner with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Comfort working with product management on complex features
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
