A government agency in British Columbia is seeking a Senior Buyer for a temporary 18-month position. You will manage procurement processes and vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with legal standards. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in procurement and hold relevant certifications. Are you a procurement professional with experience in running a competitive procurement process, contract drafting and negotiations, and vendor management? We have a temporary 18 months opportunity for Senior Buyers (Senior Purchasing Officers), who will be authorized to make contractual commitments for the acquisition of commodities.
You'll be responsible to ensure the integrity of the acquisition process and maximize acquisition strategies. Your activities will include coordinating projects, monitoring, and maintaining vendor performance, creating contractual documents, and conducting negotiations while responding to both external and internal clients in a high-pressure environment.
How you'll make a difference: You'll help protect the financial integrity of B.C.'s workers' compensation system, ensuring we serve British Columbians now and in the future.

For this position, the successful candidate is required to work 2 days per week in our Richmond office.
