Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the Data Center & Cloud Network Engineering team. You will design, implement and operate CrowdStrike's global cloud and data center network infrastructure, driving scale and resilience across multi-cloud environments.

You will develop IaC and automation with Ansible and Terraform, manage complex routing and interconnectivity, and participate in on-call rotations while ensuring security and data sovereignty standards are met.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering agile cross-functional projects.
• 7+ years hands-on experience with large-scale networking design.
• 5+ years multi-cloud networking experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into practical network designs and architectures.
• Design, operate, and implement global multi-vendor, multi-cloud data center networks.
• Deploy cloud constructs: subnets, routing, VPCs, PrivateLink, Hub-spoke topologies; gateways.
• Develop IaC and automation (Ansible, Terraform) to provision networks at scale.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
• Implement networks meeting regional compliance and data sovereignty (ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI-DSS).

About The Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Data Center & Cloud Network Engineering team. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of CrowdStrike's global cloud and data center network infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

• Translate business requirements into practical network design, reference architectures, design patterns, HLDs, design reviews, runbooks, POCs, FOAs
• Design, operate, & implement global multi-vendor, multi-cloud, hybrid data center networks at scale while driving network performance & resiliency
• Deploy and manage cloud constructs such as subnet allocations, routing-tables/associations, VPCs, VPC-peering/PrivateLink, Hub-spoke topologies, gateways, direct connects
• Develop and maintain IaC (ansible, Terraform) and automation tooling throughout CI/CD pipeline (Python, Go) to provision networks at scale, while improving the efficiency and velocity of network deployments
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and contribute to incident root-cause analysis
• Participate in on-call rotations
• Implement network solutions meeting regional compliance and data sovereignty requirements (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, UK G-Cloud, EU data residency / GDPR, PCI-DSS)

What You Need:

• Proven track record in driving agile cross-functional projects to completion independently with minimal supervision
• 7+ years expert design & hands-on experience of IPv4/IPv6, Anycast, MP-BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, MPLS, EVPN/VxLAN, L3VPN, CLOS, QoS, Load-balancing, MACsec, and IPsec
• 5+ years practical multi-cloud networking experience deploying and supporting cloud connectivity at hyperscaler, CSP or security company
• Extensive experience in deploying and maintaining large networks using version control, automation frameworks (ansible, Terraform, Chef) and scripts & templating (bash, python, go, jinja, YAML, JSON)
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

• CCIE/JNCIE, AWS/GCP/OCI/Azure (Professional) Certifications
• Hyperscaler/CSP background (AWS, GCP, MSFT, OCI or similar)
• OpenStack / SONiC / Whitebox, FRR, open source network infrastructure experience
• AI/GPU cluster networking fabrics (RDMA, RoCE, InfiniBand)
• UK Government, G-Cloud, or Sovereign cloud experience
