Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Manager in Security Assurance in London to lead a team delivering assurance engagements across Enterprise Customer, Regulatory, and Third‑Party Audit. You will translate regulatory expectations into actionable plans, coach staff, and ensure high standards.
You will collaborate with internal security, service, product, and program teams to manage stakeholder relationships and drive scalable, data-informed improvements that demonstrate AWS security posture
Do you have a passion for leading at the intersection of security, regulation, and customer trust? Do you enjoy building and developing teams that solve ambiguous, high-stakes assurance problems? Do you have ideas about how AWS should scale the way it demonstrates security assurance to its most sophisticated customers, regulators, and auditors? At Amazon Web Services (AWS), Security is our highest priority. Come join Security Assurance, a team dedicated to earning and maintaining the trust of our most regulatory and security conscious customers, and to giving them the confidence to run their most sensitive workloads securely on AWS.
Security Assurance earns customer trust by providing transparency into AWS’s security posture across customer, regulatory, and third‑party assurance programs. Rather than focusing solely on compliance against specific regulations, our team plays a pivotal role in earning and maintaining trust in the security of AWS — working with the world’s most sophisticated organizations to give enterprise customers, regulators, and third‑party auditors the confidence they need about the security of customer‑critical workloads deployed on AWS. This is vastly different from a typical assurance and compliance function: we operate at internet scale, across hundreds of certifications and thousands of individual controls, with a proactive, hands‑on approach that goes far beyond evaluating compliance.
We are looking for an experienced people leader to manage and grow a team within Security Assurance. In this role you will lead a team of assurance professionals delivering engagements across one or more of our product lines — Enterprise Customer, Regulatory, and Third‑Party Audit — and you will be accountable for the performance, development, and day‑to‑day delivery of that team. You will operate in an environment shaped by increasing customer and regulatory expectations, with developments such as DORA, NIS2, and evolving sovereignty requirements reshaping the landscape. Working within the strategy set by your leadership, you will translate program goals into clear plans for your team, remove blockers, and ensure your team delivers assurance outcomes that meet customer and regulator expectations.
You are someone who leads by example — you coach and develop your team, set high standards, and know when to dive into the detail. You can prioritise well, communicate early and clearly, and demonstrate a track record of delivering both personally and through the people you lead. You are a positive influence across diverse teams, able to rally support for your initiatives and collaborate with others to drive simple, scalable solutions. You use data to understand where your team is delivering well, where the bottlenecks are, and where to focus to improve.
This role is based in London, UK.
As a Senior Manager in Security Assurance, you will lead a team that helps AWS demonstrate its security commitments to customers, regulators, and third‑party auditors. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
