Job summary

hackajob is partnering with JPMorgan Chase to hire a Senior Lead Software Engineer for the eTrading team. The role focuses on secure, scalable, high-performance systems with deep technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.

Ideal candidates will have formal software engineering credentials, 10 years of experience, and strong C/C++ skills, plus cloud-native and AI governance experience in a Financial Services context.

Qualifications

Job description

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10 years of applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced knowledge and demonstrated skills in programming languages C and C++
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment, with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations
• Experience coaching senior engineers and leads on compliant usage patterns and controls
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines, such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
