Job summary

ONI in Oxford is seeking a Senior Electronics & Systems Engineer to take ownership of electronics design from concept through to production, collaborating with engineering, software and R&D teams. You will develop analogue and digital circuits, assemble PCB layouts, bring‑up hardware, write production firmware, and interface with sensors, optics and mechanical systems.

The role rewards multidisciplinary problem solving in a fast‑paced environment with opportunities to apply modern software

Qualifications

• Proven ability to design analogue and digital electronics meeting performance, cost and manufacturability requirements.
• Schematic capture, PCB layout and multilayer board development experience.
• Strong embedded software skills including production firmware development in C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Own electronics designs from concept through architecture, schematic, PCB, bring‑up and production.
• Develop robust power, signal conditioning and sensor interfaces.
• Debug complex multidisciplinary systems across electronics, firmware, optics and software.
• Develop test/automation tools and production QA.
