A prominent engineering firm is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Wales for a 6-month contract with possible extension. This role involves producing detailed designs, managing projects from inception to installation, and ensuring compliance with UK regulations. Candidates should have experience in building services and be capable of working independently. The position offers a flexible hourly rate of approximately £40, depending on experience.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within Building Services.
Able to work independently.
Solid understanding of electrical building systems, including power distribution, lighting, and life safety systems.
Knowledge of Part L assessments and energy compliance.
Knowledge of Stage 4 design and construction coordination.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Responsibilities
Produce and review electrical designs for commercial and industrial projects.
Work independently and manage own workload.
Prepare technical reports and specifications.
Carry out Part L energy assessments and ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations.
Review and verify designs before construction.
Coordinate with other disciplines and ensure the builder’s work requirements are met.
Support project delivery through to installation and commissioning.
