Job summary

LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions is seeking a Sr Director of Platform Engineering to lead the data and agentic platform initiatives. You will drive scalable platform delivery, partner with product management, and ensure security, reliability, and adoption across domains.

You will shape canonical data contracts, governance, and AI workflow capabilities while mentoring senior engineers and aligning with enterprise SDLC and compliance demands.

Qualifications

• 12+ years leading platform engineering teams delivering shared services or large-scale SaaS systems with production operations accountability.
• Success building platforms adopted by multiple product teams with reliability discipline (SLOs), observability, and incident management.
• Hands-on leadership in distributed systems and platform engineering.
• Deep data platform experience: ingestion, integration, data quality, metadata, lineage, and secure access.
• Experience enabling AI-powered production systems with monitoring, guardrails, and auditability.
• Ability to partner with product leaders on contract-driven platforms and avoid bottlenecks.
• Proven ability to hire and develop AI platform engineers; familiarity with AI workflow platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery for shared platform services and data capabilities consumed by multiple product domains.
• Translate product-defined platform requirements into scalable technical designs and executable delivery plans.
• Provide capacity forecasts, sequencing options, and delivery risk assessments to support roadmaps.
• Build and operate ingestion, integration, and modernization capabilities for IP data across domains.
• Implement canonical data contracts and APIs with governance, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Implement and operate agent workflow platform capabilities aligned to product interfaces, including traceability and state handling.
• Implement production-grade evaluation, observability, auditability, and guardrail mechanisms for safe AI workflows.
• Implement security controls, access governance, encryption, and audit requirements with InfoSec compliance.
