Job summary

Northern Trust Corp. is seeking an experienced professional to join the International Securities Lending Operations team in London.

You will provide technical SME support, assess regulatory and IT changes, and coordinate with Chicago, Manila and Bangalore teams to keep processes compliant and efficient. The role includes leading business continuity planning, outsourcing certification in Coupa, and oversight of offshore teams while supporting audits, CASS and industry initiatives within the Trade

The position is based in London and will report into the International Securities Lending Trades Support and Collateral Manager also in London.This role will focus on providing technical, subject matter expertise and project management support to the operational teams based in Chicago, Manila and Bangalore. Typical responsibilities will range from managing regulatory changes impacting the Lending operational product, acting as the primary operational contact for I.T. developments and testing, supporting the on-boarding of new products, supporting audit related operational enquiries and providing oversight of the off shore teams ensuring they remain compliant with their key responsibilities.Principal ResponsibilitiesReview any communication received in respect to market settlement practice changes. Assess the impact to the operational teams and manage any related IT development.Take primary responsibility for all Transfer of Work and Business Continuity management for the global Trade Support and Collateral teams. This will include the annual resiliency tests and any follow up actions.Provide your Lending subject matter expertise to any relevant operational projects. This support may relate to ongoing system dockets or new product development initiatives.Take primary responsibility for the Outsourcing certification process for Trade Support and Collateral. Complete all necessary documentation in Coupa.Provide cover to the Trade Support and Collateral Manager in London.Provide oversight and support to the team in relation to the CSDR market regulations, This involves ensuring all monthly charges are accounted for and all suspense accounts are cleared monthly.Support the manager of the team in relation to oversight of the offshore teams. This will include the tracking of the teams Key Risk indicators and Key Quality indicators.Act as the responsible party for all Audit and CASS related activity effecting the Trade Support and Collateral teams.Play an active role in any communication and initiatives being driven by the industry bodies, specifically in relation to the International Securities Lending Association.Ensure a flexible approach is applied to your working patterns to meet the needs of the business.The candidate should have a fair amount of the following skills & experience:Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.Subject matter expertise in Securities Lending with an ability to provide technical support and explanationAttention to detailExcellent communication skills; verbal, non-verbal and writtenRelevant product knowledge.Work AuthorizationApplicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom at the time of application and for the duration of employment.Please note that Northern Trust is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
