Job Description

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned communications professional to join LinkedIn’s Global External Communications team, based in London. This newly created role will focus on reputation and issues management across EMEAL, while also playing a key role in shaping and supporting emerging, high-impact initiatives across the External Communications function.

Reporting to the Head of Global Trust Communications and working closely with the Group Manager, Reputation Management, this role requires a strong communicator with a deep understanding of the EMEA media, regulatory, and political landscape. You’ll balance proactive storytelling with reactive issues response, helping shape and safeguard LinkedIn’s reputation in the region and beyond. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment—someone who can jump into ambiguity, bring order and insight, and build trusted relationships across teams and regions. You’ll help us earn and reinforce trust with our 1 billion members by showing how we lead with our values in an increasingly complex external landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key point of contact for issues and regulatory communications across EMEA, partnering closely with local comms teams, policy, legal, and regional leadership.
  • Monitor and respond to emerging risks, reputational challenges, and regulatory shifts, crafting timely and thoughtful narratives across owned and earned channels.
  • Offer strategic guidance to senior leaders and cross-functional partners on sensitive or complex topics, ensuring consistent messaging and strong alignment with global teams.
  • Proactively scan the horizon for reputational risks and opportunities—helping the organization look around corners and build trust through timely, transparent, and values-led communication.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

  • Minimum 9 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience, AND 3 years of experience in External Communications or Employee Communications OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field AND minimum 6 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience, AND 3 years of experience in External Communications or Employee Communications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in external customer communications role.
  • 6+ years of experience supporting senior executives.
  • Deep experience working with journalists and media across EMEAL, both reactively and proactively.
  • Experience navigating complex, matrixed organizations and working with cross-functional partners.
  • Skilled at managing competing priorities, shifting timelines, and ambiguous asks with confidence and calm.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to adapt tone and narrative for different platforms and executives.
  • High integrity, discretion, and maturity in handling sensitive information.
