Senior CAD Technician – Civil / Infrastructure Design📍 Sheffield | Hybrid Working | Permanent

I’m working with a respected civil and structural engineering consultancy with offices across the UK, who are looking to add a Senior CAD Technician to their expanding Sheffield team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CAD professional to join a supportive and growing civil engineering design team, delivering residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments across the region.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of producing and coordinating detailed 2D and 3D drawings for highways, drainage, and external works — working closely with engineers through all project stages. The role offers the chance to contribute to adoptable infrastructure design (S278, S38, S104), mentor junior technicians, and help refine CAD standards and workflows across the business.

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years’ experience as a CAD Technician in a civil or infrastructure design environment.
• Strong AutoCAD skills (essential); working knowledge of Civil 3D or similar advantageous.
• Understanding of Section 278, Section 38, and Section 104 design processes.
• Familiarity with SuDS, DMRB, and Sewers for Adoption.
• Confident communicator with an eye for technical detail and presentation.
• HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
