Job summary

Parser is hiring a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical banking services and applications. You will lead architecture decisions for distributed systems and microservices while building cloud-native applications in multi-cloud environments.

You will develop robust RESTful APIs, enable asynchronous processing, and ensure strong testing and production-support capabilities. Collaboration across multiple locations provides a dynamic, hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

How will you impact?

In this role, you will lead the design, development, and support of mission-critical banking services with a strong emphasis on software architecture, cloud engineering, and operational excellence. You will work on scalable, customer-facing platforms in a dynamic financial services environment.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical banking services and applications
• Lead architectural decisions for distributed systems and microservices
• Build and support cloud-native applications in multi-cloud environments
• Develop robust RESTful APIs and implement asynchronous processing solutions
• Ensure operational excellence through comprehensive testing strategies (unit, component, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing) and production support
• Participate in incident management and system reliability initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple locations

What you'll bring to the role:

• Extensive hands-on backend engineering experience with expert proficiency in Java development and JVM technologies
• Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture, microservices, and relational database data architecture patterns
• Proven experience building and supporting cloud-native applications in production
• Demonstrated experience developing RESTful APIs, messaging frameworks, and asynchronous processing
• Strong production support experience, including incident management and CI/CD pipelines/automation
• Comprehensive testing capability across unit, component, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing
• Proficiency in Kotlin in addition to Java
• Experience in banking, payments, card issuing, payment processing.
• Experience with scalable, customer-facing platforms in financial services
