Join Our Team

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically strong Senior Actuarial Analyst to support the Deputy Head of Pricing, International in delivering strategic pricing initiatives across our international portfolio. The role will report to the Deputy Head of Pricing, International and sit within the International Pricing & Planning team as part of the CUO Office.


Responsibilities


  • Complex Risk Pricing: Supporting the Deputy Head of Pricing and wider pricing team in the analysis, pricing, and structuring of large and complex insurance and reinsurance contracts across multiple lines of business.

  • Pricing Tool Development & Improvement: Working closely with class underwriters, contributing to the development and enhancement of pricing tools ensuring alignment with best practice methodologies. Help introduce new exposure models and improve parameterisation processes.

  • Portfolio Steering & Analytics: Conducting analyses and investigations that inform growth strategies and remediation efforts. Participating in the monitoring of key accounts and supporting regular performance reviews with internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Business Planning Support: Supporting the production of planning materials, including loss ratio setting and analysis of key drivers such as loss trends and inflation. Contributing to the loss ratio volatility analysis needed for the capital model.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance pricing maturity and capabilities. Contributing to initiatives that support our ambition to be a best‑in‑class pricing function. Engaging in peer review processes and seeking and giving feedback to develop technical and professional skills.

  • Cross‑functional Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues across actuarial, underwriting, and other business functions to deliver high‑quality insights and contribute to cross‑functional projects.


Skills and Qualifications


  • Significant progress toward actuarial qualification; 3+ years of experience.

  • Practical experience using a range of pricing techniques, particularly for Lloyd’s/London Market risks. Experience of Casualty, Marine, Aviation or Energy is advantageous.

  • Experience building and enhancing exposure‑based pricing tools.

  • Excellent MS Excel skills.

  • Power BI and experience in a coding language (SQL, Python) desirable.

  • Curious, open‑minded, and proactive with a desire to continuously improve and learn new skills.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high‑quality work.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
