Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to own supplier quality and capacity for a designated vehicle area, driving suppliers to meet McLaren's exacting standards and ensure production readiness for new vehicle programs.

You will lead 8D problem solving, conduct NPI and process verification audits, develop supplier processes, and deliver APQP/PPAP and KPI tracking across the supply base.

Qualifications

• Automotive quality pro with OEM/Tier-1 experience in new vehicle programs.
• Confident in delivering PPAP approval activities and ensuring robust production readiness.
• Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP and IATF16949 quality requirements.
• Proven ability to manage projects, track progress and communicate with stakeholders.
• Skilled at developing supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement.
• Experienced applying structured problem-solving tools such as 8D and 5Why.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques and quality improvement methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with CATIA V5 and GD&T principles.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is desirable.
