Residential Security Officer (Embedded Team, SPS Global)

Kensington, London

We are looking to hire a Residential Security Officer (SO) to join our embedded team at SPS Global in Kensington, London. The role operates on a four‑on, four‑off shift rotation, covering both day and night shifts at a high‑net‑worth residential property.

Job Overview

The Residential Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a constant security presence, providing immediate response to incidents, ensuring compliance with SOPs, reporting to management, and supporting all operational and administrative procedures as required by client and company policies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily duties to the highest professional standards.
  • Maintain awareness of future planning requirements.
  • React quickly and professionally to all emergencies and incidents.
  • Ensure that all client operations are managed/conducted in accordance with SOPs.
  • Document and report any deviations from SOPs immediately to the operations centre.
  • Document all incidents and update the GRC.
  • Provide an accurate and timely written report in the event of an incident.
  • Assist with implementing any changes at the premises as directed by the management team.
  • Keep your SIA licence up to date and ensure it does not lapse.
Duties
  • Provide a constant security presence throughout the shift period.
  • Arrive punctually and correctly dressed at the appointed place of duty.
  • Report to the GRC on a daily basis.
  • Remain at your appointed place of duty unless authorised by the GRC or line manager.
  • Manage access and egress to and from the property.
  • Monitor and react to situations highlighted by CCTV.
  • Record the issue and return of property keys and security fobs.
  • Record all contractors and visitors attending/leaving the property.
  • Record all deliveries to the premises.
  • Monitor clients discreetly when in residence, ensuring a safe environment.
  • Ensure the safety of the clients at all times.
  • Answer and deal with all telephone enquiries if part of the task role.
  • Conduct and document all patrols as stipulated in the appointed premises SOPs.
  • Make and receive all “check calls” as directed.
  • Send a daily report after completion of the day shift.
Physical Demands
  • Patrol premises on a regular basis.
  • Assist the client if injured or needs evacuating.
  • Walk and handle dogs.
  • Assist with heavy deliveries.
Required Qualifications
  • Legally able to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
  • Must live within daily commuting distance of Kensington, London (no accommodation supplied; onsite parking available).
  • 2+ years of security experience.
  • Minimum first‑aid at work qualification.
  • Driving licence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Military or police experience.
  • Higher first‑aid qualifications (FREC).
