Job summary

Medacs Healthcare currently recruits SPRs in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for NHS trusts across the UK. Locum posts offer flexibility with 8-week blocks, a mix of core hours and on-call duties, and opportunities in multiple regions.

As a Locum SPR you will deliver high-quality care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal pathways, support teaching and junior staff, and benefit from dedicated consultant support and streamlined registration.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Current DBS/PVG check or willingness to obtain one.
• UK Right to Work clearance.
• Strong communication and teamworking skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
• Assist in gynaecological procedures and surgeries.
• Provide emergency obstetric care.
• Support junior staff and participate in teaching.

Contract Type: Locum (short-term and long-term assignments available)

8 week cover, job plan below;

Monday-Friday 0900-1700 / It would have a combination of on call (during both core and out of hours) as well as Gynae, antenatal clinics and theatres. It would be up to 45 hours per week

What We're Looking For

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• UK Right to Work
• Strong communication and teamworking skills
