Job summary

The Leicester School is seeking a hands-on Sports Turf Technician to maintain and prepare high quality pitches and turf across the school estate. You will join the Estates team and report to the Sports Turf Manager to keep facilities safe and well presented for rugby, football, cricket and other activities.

The role requires experience in turf maintenance, knowledge of mowing, aeration and pitch preparation, with a full driving licence and a commitment to working outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Right to work in the UK or valid visa.
• Experience in sports turf maintenance or groundskeeping.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare sports pitches and turf areas across the school estate to a high standard for rugby, football, cricket and other activities.
• Carry out routine and seasonal grounds maintenance including mowing, aeration, fertilising, irrigation and pitch marking.
• Operate and maintain grounds machinery safely and efficiently.
• Support maintenance of artificial surfaces and general estate upkeep.
