Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics
• Proven passion for sports and online betting markets
• Deep understanding of probability and statistics relevant to sports forecasting
• Commercial programming background in languages such as C#, Go, R, Python, or SQL
• Track record of analysing large-scale datasets within sports analytics
• Practical application of machine learning techniques
• Advanced capability in optimising mathematical models for accuracy and computational efficiency

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains pricing algorithms used in sports betting models
• Analyses data to quantify and refine pricing methodologies
• Optimises model performance for both accuracy and computational efficiency
• Develops and supports technical solutions owned by the department
• Identifies and resolves bugs affecting model accuracy
• Manages code versions using source control systems while ensuring thorough documentation
• Collaborates with Trading teams to incorporate domain expertise into mathematical models
