Hours of work: Seasonal Contract - Variable hours

Salary: £12.95 Per Hour - Paid weekly!

What We Need in a Nutshell

We are looking for dynamic, determined, enthusiastic people who thrive in providing memorable guest experiences and want to be part of developing the Leisure team in supervising, controlling and ensuring the safety of customers at all times in the centre, but in particular the swimming pool environment and to provide the highest standard of customer service to all users of the centre.

Your Responsibilities

Your role will be to assist in operating the leisure centre to achieve maximum sales whilst keeping the customer experience intact by having motivated and skilled staff who deliver a delightful customer experience and excellent levels of cleanliness.

In partnership with the Leisure Manager, Leisure Duty Manager and other team leaders you will;

  • Actively market and promote the business, continually seeking opportunities to increase sales and improve customer service.
  • To effectively supervise, train & motivate all team whilst on duty to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the centre, whilst maintaining excellent levels of customer care that promote and reflect the image of the centre.
  • Maintain and develop the highest levels of service & safety within the leisure centre
  • Responsible for the security of facilities, Centre presentation cleanliness and maintenance, plant operation, water quality testing, stock replenishment and ensure normal operating procedures and emergency action plans are implemented as required.
  • Organising and running activities such as archery, axe throwing and tie dye.
  • Processing financial transactions and cash reconciliation and accepting bookings in compliance with regulations.
  • Carry out any other duties specified by Centre Management to ensure the effective operation of the Centre’s service including emergency action plans and procedures
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the centre in accordance with cleaning schedules and standards.
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and welfare of customers and staff. Ensure the correct behaviour and use by customers and staff of the Centre.

This is only a guide to the range of duties involved. The post holder will need to be flexible and adaptable in order to respond to other duties that may be required from time to time and the changes and development within Retallack Resort & Spa.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, Experience And Qualities You’ll Need

We’ll provide training, but you must:

  • To hold a current valid NPLQ and a First Aid at Work certificate as well as certificate and have experience in backwashing and experience of COSHH
  • A good standard of education, ideally to GCSE standard or equivalent
  • Works well under pressure and a good communicator too
  • Customer focused
  • Attention to detail even little ones and high standards

Desirable

  • Pool Plant Operator (PPO), National Pool Management Qualification (NPMQ) or equivalent, Fire Warden training
