Sports Coach (Hockey Specialist)
Location: Queen Mary’s Grammar School, Walsall
Salary: £19.32 per hour (plus £2.33 holiday pay)
Role type: Casual (as and when required)

Overview

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated Sports Coach to join our collaborative and supportive PE team. The ideal candidate will deliver extra‑curricular coaching sessions, including games afternoons and support fixtures, under the guidance of the Head of PE.

Responsibilities
  • Implement programmed sessions with students in the activity spaces of the PE department.
  • Provide extra‑curricular coaching sessions including games afternoons and support fixtures.
  • Work constructively as part of the PE team, understanding roles and responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience of working within a sports coaching role or have played sport to a high club level at least.
  • Experience of working within a school context is desirable.
  • Flexible, able to use initiative, keep calm under pressure.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, familiar with ICT.
  • Ability to deal with colleagues and students in an appropriate manner.
