GSL Educationare currently recruiting for a dedicatedSports Coachto join a vibrant school in Worksop.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and young people, using sport as a tool to build confidence, improve behaviour, and encourage healthy lifestyles.

As a Sports Coach, you will:

  • Support the delivery of PE lessons and extracurricular sports activities.
  • Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive attitudes towards physical education.
  • Work with pupils individually or in small groups to develop skills and confidence.
  • Promote discipline, focus, and self-motivation through structured activities.
  • Assist teachers in managing classroom and sports field behaviour.
  • Act as a positive role model, fostering respect, inclusion, and resilience among students.

Requirements for Sports Coach:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school or sports setting.
  • A background in sports coaching or a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 Coaching Certificate or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and behaviour management skills.
  • A proactive and supportive approach to engaging pupils of all abilities.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
