Job summary

Queen Katharine Academy in Peterborough is seeking an Intervention Teaching Assistant to lead structured sports, sensory and SEMH interventions for students across KS3/KS4. You will use physical activity to support emotional regulation, reduce anxiety and boost confidence, while building strong relationships with learners.

You will also assist in everyday lessons, adapting activities and guiding students through transitions to help them access education and succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, ideally within education, sports coaching or youth work.
• Strong coaching and relationship-building skills to support students.
• Flexible, reflective and committed to helping every student succeed.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging sports, sensory and SEMH interventions for small groups and individuals across KS3 and KS4.
• Support learning across the secondary school day and adapt activities to access education.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEND and pastoral teams to prioritise wellbeing and progress.
