As a Sport and Physical Activity Delivery Manager, you will provide operational leadership to the Sport and Physical Activity Team ensuring we help everyone in Barnsley experience the benefits of being more active. Your role will include:
Working closely with colleagues in the team, across the council and a host of statutory, community and voluntary groups, you will lend your expertise to creating behaviour change, promoting physical activity, health, and wellbeing. Crucially, you'll also help us to develop, deliver and evaluate projects that relate to tackling health inequalities. What's more, you'll help us to develop services, new approaches and play a key part in needs assessments and service reviews.
To join us, you'll need a mix of relevant qualifications with at least one being at level 6 or above, and extensive experience in the sport and physical activity sector. Your track record includes involvement in managing and securing funding, project management and the development of approaches to leading services and achieving outcomes. You've used evidence-based project and performance management techniques to drive successful change. With a flair for public engagement and partnership working, it is your talent for communication that really sets you apart.
