Trainee Spindle Operative

£13.00 – £14.00 per hour (DOE) Full-Time | Day Shifts | Excellent Career Progression Birmingham

We are supporting a well-established manufacturing organisation that is looking to add a Trainee Spindle Operative to their growing team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with an engineering background who is eager to learn specialist machining skills and develop a long-term career.

As a Trainee Spindle Operative, you will be trained in working with precision spindles—key rotating components used in CNC machines and other high-accuracy manufacturing equipment. This includes

  • Assembly and disassembly of spindle units
  • Inspection and measurement of spindle parts using precision tools
  • Grinding, polishing, and finishing work to ensure smooth and accurate rotation
  • Basic fault finding and supporting engineers with spindle repairs
  • Working on specialist machinery to maintain top-quality performance
  • Ensuring components meet exact engineering tolerances

Full training is provided, so this role is perfect for someone who wants to learn niche, in-demand engineering skills.

Working Hours
  • Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
  • Regular overtime available
