Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Speech & Language Therapist to join a specialist independent day and residential school in North West England, providing high-quality education and care for children and young people aged 7–18 with autism, ADHD, speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), sensory processing difficulties, and associated social, emotional and behavioural challenges.

Main Duties
  • Complete detailed speech and language therapy assessments for pupils with complex and varied communication needs.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate specialist individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Support and train education and care teams to implement communication strategies within daily routines.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, EHCP reviews, and goal-setting for pupils.
  • Offer clinical advice and training to families and colleagues to ensure consistent support.
  • Maintain high-quality, up-to-date clinical records and reports.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties.
