Job summary

Whittington Health seeks an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to work across Northway School and The Windmill School in Barnet. You will deliver assessments and intervention for children with diverse speech and language needs, under supervision within a supportive therapy team.

The role involves designing evidence-based treatment plans, contributing to governance and service development, and training families and school staff to empower continued progress in communication skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with relevant degree.
• Registered to practice in the UK with HCPC.
• Experience delivering SLT in educational settings is desirable.
• Ability to design evidence-based assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive SLT service to children in two Barnet special schools.
• Carry out formal and informal assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Train and advise families and education staff to support therapy outcomes.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to improve service delivery.
