Job summary

Total Assist Recruitment is seeking a Speech & Language Therapist to deliver a therapy service across college centres in London and Surrey. The role focuses on learning disabilities, with person-centred, functional and inclusive therapy to support students’ communication and independence.

You will assess needs, work with teaching staff, and coordinate with external agencies to ensure smooth transitions and appropriate support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
• UK HCPC Registration required.

Responsibilities

• Use a person-centred approach to promote choice, independence and inclusion.
• Maintain professional respect for students and families, promoting rights and dignity.
• Collaborate with external agencies to support transitions and information sharing.
• Assess students' communication, eating, drinking and learning needs using formal and informal methods.
• Support staff to deliver curriculum at appropriate language levels and provide training.
