A local council is seeking a Speech & Language Therapist for an initial 6-month temporary contract with a possibility of extension or permanent position in Greater London. • Work as a member of the Merton Speech and Language Therapy Service to build capacity.

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Merton Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.

We are looking for a Speech & Language Therapist. This role will be: SM4 5DX Hybrid

The right candidate will:

• To assess children and develop / implement specialist speech and language therapy treatment to ensure that the Council achieves its strategic aims for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
• To contribute to the LB Merton policy and approach to raising achievement and establishing provision for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
• To provide a specialist speech and language therapy service to Merton schools and settings.
• To work as a member of the Merton Speech and Language Therapy Service and SENDIS and so contribute to building the capacity of Merton Schools to include pupils with SEN and disabilities.

We require the following:

• Experience of training and supporting TAs / LSAs in delivering SLCN programmes
• Qualified Therapist status
