Overview

Speech & Language Therapist – Erskine Home, Bishopton

30 hours per week, 4 days over 7

Grade 6 Salary £40,008 - £43,407 per annum (pro rata)

Permanent, Part-time role

The Role

An opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic, innovative organisation that values delivering care in a multi-disciplinary environment. We are looking for a part time Speech and Language Therapist to join the team at The Erskine Home in Bishopton. The postholder will be responsible for the autonomous management of the dysphagia caseload and supporting the management of communication skills of our older adult population. In addition to a highly competitive salary the postholder will be supported with funding to undertake an MSc in a topic related to their discipline. The postholder will work closely with our Physiotherapist, Podiatrist, the Advanced Nurse Practitioners and the in-house nursing and care teams. They will also work closely with the local NHS SLT team and other third sector partners and be expected to maintain a close professional relationship with these external partners including the transfers of care between services. CPD will also be supported by the close working relationships with external partners. Training of internal staff will also be a feature of this exciting role.

Note: The role entails autonomous management of dysphagia and support for communication skills in older adults, with opportunities for professional development.
